If you'd love to learn some advanced canoe paddling skills, this is an ideal course for you.
Even if you'd just like a fun weekend of canoeing and get a certification you'll be able to use in the future, this is a great offer!
This course will be offered instead of ORCKA Canoe Tripping, and will include:
1 pool session of canoe rescue practice at McMaster IWC Pool on Friday night 8-9:30pm,
2 day-trips to the Bronte Harbour in Oakville on Saturday and Sunday, 9am- 4:30pm, where practical and advanced paddling skills will be taught, including precision maneuvering, tandem paddling and possibly solo paddling.
Only 6 spots available!
If you're a trip leader with the Outdoor Club, we will equate it with ORCKA tripping II certification because it teaches all the hard skills of Tripping II, while the soft skills are taught in our Group Dynamics and Risk Management workshops.
Meeting location: 8pm at the ARC Pool in IWCTransportation to Oakville: You'll need to arrange your own transportation of car-pool with friends on Saturday and Sunday
