Community Gardens at Victoria Park

The Victoria Park Community Garden is a rental garden plot facility in West Hamilton operated by the City of Hamilton.  Located in Victoria Park, the area is surrounded by a security fence with touch-pad access, and contains various water taps to attach hoses for use. There is ample parking available and a limited number of tools, wheelbarrows and watering cans for use by the gardeners free of charge.

Wheelchair accessible raised garden beds as well as trellis-gardening capabilities are two additions to the program offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

There are 8 raised beds (1x2.3 metres at $19.38 each) and 24 plots (6x3 metre at $80.58 each).

Garden plots are rototilled at the beginning and end of each gardening season running from the Victoria Day long weekend in May until theThanksgiving holiday in October.

The hours of operation are from 8am to 8pm and gardeners are responsible for weeding and general upkeep of their garden plot.
